Lighting the path from potential to production.

We prepare India's young people, especially those the system overlooks, for skilled careers in manufacturing. AI makes the training faster, fairer and fluent in their language. Our field teams take it to where they live.

Why now

India is set to build for the world. Its young people are ready to build it. Skills are the bridge between them.

Manufacturing can create jobs at the scale India needs, but only if young people walk in with the skills, and the confidence, to do them. Today very few have had the chance to learn them. For young women, the gap is wider still.

What we do

Three lights. One beam.

NLightN works where manufacturing, skill building and AI overlap. Each is powerful alone. Mixed together, like coloured light, they make something clear and bright: young people with real skills, and companies with the tools to grow them.

Three overlapping circles of light: manufacturing in amber, skill building in rose, and AI in teal. Where all three meet, the light turns white: NLightN. Manufacturing AI & tech Skill building
All three lights

Mix amber, rose and teal light and you get white light: clarity. That is NLightN: skilled people, intelligent tools and industry, working as one.

Who we serve

One mission. Two sides of the same shop floor.

A skilled workforce needs young people who are ready, and employers who know how to train, include and grow them. We work on both sides at once.

For young people

From potential to a paycheck, and to a career beyond it.

We reach young people at ITIs, polytechnics, schools and colleges in their own districts, and help them into skilled manufacturing jobs. We start with those most often left out.

  • Real factory skills. Plant processes, measurement, quality, 5S and safety, learned from animations of real operations.
  • Confidence to speak. Workplace English with an AI partner who is patient and never laughs.
  • A path, not just a certificate. Plant visits, placement support, and learning that carries on in the job.
For companies

AI for learning and development, and a workforce as diverse as India.

We help manufacturers onboard faster, teach their own processes, and build teams that include women, people with disabilities and young people from every district.

  • Your process, as a lesson. Procedures and shop-floor know-how turned into narrated, interactive lessons.
  • See understanding, not attendance. Reports show the questions trainees get wrong, and the wrong answer they pick.
  • Inclusive hiring that lasts. Diverse cohorts, prepared managers, and support through the first months.
How we work

A platform, programmes and projects. One loop.

A learning platform does nothing on its own. Programmes turn it into a proven way to build skills. Projects take a programme to a place, with partners and field staff. What we learn in the field goes back into how we teach.

01 · Platform The engine

Learnr, an AI-native learning platform

Animated lessons of real processes, Indian voiceovers, an AI speaking partner, honest scoring, and reports that show what people understood.

  • Made for phones and weak Wi-Fi
  • Sign in with an employee ID, no email
  • Course maps, exams and certificates

The learning platform behind every programme we run.

02 · Programmes The playbooks

Repeatable ways to build skills

Each programme brings together courses, field activities, partners and the outcomes we track, so it runs the same way in every location.

  • Shop Floor Ready, for young people
  • AI in L&D, for manufacturers
  • Inclusive Workforce

Designed and run by NLightN Foundation.

03 · Projects On the ground

Programmes, delivered in a place

A project brings a programme to a district, an institute or a plant, with a funder, local partners and our field staff working alongside learners.

  • Field facilitators and mobilisers
  • Cohorts at institutes and plants
  • Progress reported learner by learner

Delivered by NLightN Foundation with partners.

What field teams learn about learners flows back into the platform, the courses and the programme design.

Inside the classroom

An AI-native classroom that fits in a pocket.

Shop-floor learners rarely have work email or laptops, and many learn best by seeing and hearing. So every lesson shows the real process, explains it in an Indian voice, checks understanding at each step, and lets learners practise speaking with AI.

Only the outer 1 to 2 mm of the rod becomes hard. The core stays tough, so the rod resists wear without cracking.

Question 1 of 2First try counts

Why is only the surface of the rod hardened?

ASo the rod resists wear but does not crack under shock loads
BBecause the induction coil cannot reach the centre
CTo save electricity
CorrectA fully hard rod would be brittle. A hard skin over a tough core gives you both.

Lessons animate real operations step by step: a rod being hardened, a tube being honed, a cylinder being tested. Questions unlock only after the step has played.

Explained in an Indian voice

Natural Indian-English narration, timed to the animation, with a transcript one tap away. The voice engine already speaks ten Indian languages, ready for the courses that follow.

Speak with confidence

Learners hold role-play conversations with AI characters, from a first day at work to a phone call with a supervisor, and get kind, specific feedback.

Honest scores, useful reports

Only the first answer counts, so scores show what people really understood. Trainers see the questions trainees miss most, and the wrong answer they choose.

A learner's journey

From first conversation to first paycheck, and beyond.

Technology carries the content. People carry the journey. Our field teams stay with each learner at every stage, and the platform keeps a record of what they learned.

01

Reach

Mobilisers meet young people and their families through institutes, community groups and local partners, and show what a manufacturing career really looks like.

Learning carries on in the job, on the same platform, as the learner takes on new machines and new roles.

EmployerPlatform
Diversity, designed in

A workforce that looks like India.

Inclusion is not a module at the end of a course. It shapes who we reach, how we teach and how we prepare employers, on many dimensions at once.

01

Gender

Young women in roles they were rarely offered: machining, assembly, quality. Women-led cohorts, and the support that makes staying possible.

02

Disability

Captions, transcripts and voice on every lesson. Roles matched to ability, and employers supported to adapt the workplace.

03

Geography

Rural and small-town youth, reached by field teams where they live, not only in city training centres.

04

Language

Learning in the language you think in. Indian-English voiceovers today, and a voice engine ready for ten Indian languages.

05

First generation

The first in their family to work in a factory, or to finish a course. Mentoring and confidence-building are part of the plan.

06

Returners & re-skillers

Women coming back after a career break, and experienced workers learning new skills as plants automate.

AI consulting & training

Helping NGOs put AI to work.

What we have learned building with AI, for learners, foundations and our own programmes, we now share with other social-sector organisations: strategy, hands-on builds, and training for teams and their leaders.

Strategy

Where AI can genuinely help your programmes and operations, and a plan that fits your budget.

Build and pilot

Assistants, grant-making and reporting tools, data analysis and learning apps, tried with real users.

Training for teams

Practical workshops on using AI safely and well in everyday work.

AI for leaders

What AI can and cannot do, its risks and governance, for founders, boards and senior leaders.

Track record

We have built this before.

Before manufacturing, our team built AI tools for students, foundations and health programmes across India. The same craft now powers our skills programmes and our AI consulting for NGOs.

6,000

scholarship students in rural India practised spoken English on an app we built.

It taught us how much confidence matters, and how AI can give every learner a patient partner to practise with.

In progressManufacturing
